Stef is currently the President of Toastmaster Groningen dedicated to improving communications and leadership skills.

Rabobank uses Webcenter Content to manage their archive and ongoing files. Stef works as a consultant to develop and test new Webcenter functionality. He translates customer requirements to the development team and makes sure that the system is working as expected. He is responsible for testing new functionality and implementing it on different environments. He gives courses to teach users the filing system and to convince new customers to use the system. Projects he worked on included updating the system from 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.1.6 and finally to 11.1.1.8. Working both on the installation part as on the development of new Webcenter functions.

 

Oracle DBA

London Boroughs and Rijksgebouwendienst outsourced the installation and maintenance of its Oracle eBusiness environment to Capgemini.

Stef has worked as DBA, his job was the installation and maintenance of the databases and the associated application servers which run Oracle EBS, BI and UPK. In addition, Stef proactively monitored the database sessions, thus he was able to optimize the database by tuning the performance.

By creating new environments for London Boroughs Stef gained extensive experience with databases and the application server for oracle EBS, UPK and BI.

 

Oracle Webcenter Content Consultant

To discover the culture and colleagues in India Stef was sent to the SVB project in India. Stef gained his first project experience within Capgemini and has seen and experienced the Rightshore model.

Back in the Netherlands Stef worked on the functional and technical design of the portal and content server. Designing and building UCM applications was his main task during the project. Finally, Stef tested functionality and acceptability from end-users. The SVB is now using an interactive employee portal and was pleased with the end result of the project.

His desire for new challenges characterized the activities Stef undertook alongside his studies. He did internships at AkzoNobel, Weir Minerals, Tele2 and Kijlsta bestrating.

The internship / research he did for AkzoNobel to increase cooperation between the factories located at the chemical park Delfzijl eventually lead to an governmental investment of 60 million. Which could lead to an estimated 900 extra jobs.

The proceedings he performed as an intern were very diverse and each has led to new insights and experiences. He learned to be flexible and to check what was expected of him to perform his job successfully. During his studies, Stef has been an active member of the student associations TeMa (Technology Management), Bernoulli (Chemical Engineering) and EBF (Faculty of Economics and Business). Within these associations he provided ideas on activities to reach more students. He also took part in the creation of a radio program for international students in Groningen at OOG radio. He was responsible for devising the format, marketing and technical support. Stef was a tutor for physics, chemistry and mathematics and taught high school students as well as students. Explaining complex issues in a clear and simple way is a quality he developed during tutoring.

Stef has good interpersonal and communication skills. In his personal and business environment Stef can be characterized as flexible and stress resistant. In his career he dealt with irregular working hours, a wide range of tasks and intensive customer contact. Stef is open to new experiences, likes to learn new skills and take on new challenges gladly.
